If you're looking for a cheap (relatively speaking!) Garmin 800 bundle, you may want to visit the site below;

http://www.sportpursuit.com/sales/garmin-edge-gps

By joining Sport Pursuit using the link below, you should get a further £10 off (& also entitling me to £10 discount too!).

http://www.sportpursuit.com/join/gavin.davies_e85f30

They currently have the following available;

Garmin Edge 800 plus Trail Bundle (1:50,000 GB Discoverer Map) for £270.

Garmin Edge 800 plus premium heart rate monitor, cadence sensor & 1:50,000 GB Discoverer Map for £315.

You will need to sign up to the website to view the offer (says it's available for the next 8 days) - in the past I've seen deals on Sport Pursuit & Wiggle have price matched if they have the same item (& spec) in stock.

I hope this is of interest to a few people.

Gavin

    Available for well under £300 if you shop around. I got mine (with Europe road/city maps) for £292 from Halfords about a year ago and there have been better deals since.

    ETA Best offer is the Performance Bundle (includes Garmin's HRM and Cadence sensors) and Toasty's maps (free), such as this one at £250...

    Bar Shaker - thanks for your link. I already have a Garmin Edge 500 with heart rate monitor & cadence sensor. If I was to simply buy the 800 unit, do you know what memory I would need on the micro sd card - was thinking 4gb or 8gb?

    You wont even need that much daviegb, if you look at the maps on here: http://talkytoaster.info/ukmaps.htm (the OS style routable are the best) 2Gb will be twice what you need. 4Gb is so cheap that I would probably go for that anyway though.

    Thanks for the quick response apreading! Have seen the 800 unit for £234 on handtec site, so have just sent an email to Wiggle to see if they'll price match. Will take your advice & get a 4gb sd card sorted out too. Am off to The Alps for 2 weeks of road riding in May/June, so want to map the routes in advance!!

    If you are thinking Europe, then Talkytoaster probably doesnt do the maps you want. you can follow some advice I was given but have not yet verified:

    Click on this... - http://garmin.openstreetmap.nl/ - then select France and download file and pop across to your sd card as you would with the talkytoaster files!

    Alternatively, the Garmin Europe Wide Maps can be had on SD card for £40 http://www.amazon.co.uk/GARMIN-Navigato ... ROKL5A1OLE or maqybe cheaper on ebay.

    There are so many fake memory cards being sold on ebay etc that this is something I would only ever buy from a shop.

    I got the Garmin Europe map package in my bundle and this is a worry free option for very little money.
