What is going on with the awesome smooth running website that I knew and loved? Now there are all these intensive adverts slowing the page down and ruining my daily fix of MTB goodness.... Stop it... Just Stop.

I totally agree with the OP!
I'm not complaining about adverts per se.... they pay for the site after all (and some are interesting), just those ones that stay 'still' on the sides of the screen as you scroll. I have pretty fast internet access, use Safari, Chrome, Firefox and they all jitter and jerk.0 -

Haha, I do use Morzilla and i have no problem with advertising on websites.. I know how the internet works. However when you have intensive advertising that interferes with the content like currently on the site, I have a problem. As far as I'm aware I'm in the right section of the forum to be talking about the web site **Nobody likes a smartar$e...** I'm entitled to my class worthy 'whine', get off you high horse. Pinkbike has a lot of advertising on its web site but this never interferes with the content, bikeradar needs to address the issue.0 -
We've got people looking into the issue now - the ads should not be interfering with site speed so thanks for making us aware of it.Come Chat to us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/BikeRadar

Just accessed the site again - specifically the news article 'It's not recycling, it's upcycling'. The British Cycling ads at the sides do not now cause the jittering I was experiencing before.
I guess you must have fixed it! Thanks.0 -
The homepage now has Eon ads at the top and down the sides. On my iPad this makes the site content so small that it is unreadable without zooming. Not what this user would like...

For me the forum is still full width. Just adverts top and middle."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
