Ice cream pioneer serves last Mr Whippy

The Ice Cream Alliance joins the whole Frozen Dessert community in mourning the death of ice-cream pioneer and inventor of the Soft Scoop Ice Cream, Margeret Hilda Roberts. Condolences to her family and all who knew her.
As a mark of respect for her contribution to the industry, all Mr Whippy ice cream vans are invited to join the funeral cortege.

    I have a friend who convinced her children that when the ice cream van plays the music it means that it has ru out of ice cream. It may have saved her a fortune but I can't help thinking that the children will be emotionally scarred for life.
