Thought I may as well expose myself to ridicule of the masses.... here's my new steed, took a while to arrive due to shenanigans with the Di2.

Yes, it's a Trek (boo-hiss), but it was the best fit for me, and I preferred the ride to the Cervelo S5 and Venge which were my original first thoughts (pre fit).

Yes, I need to slam the stem, but it fits and I'm working my way down. I'm nearly 40 so its taking a little while.

Apologies to the OCD crowd, no stand and the Di2 died on its maiden run yesterday so stuck in the little ring.

Spec as follows:

Gears - Simano DA 9070 Di2
Brakes - DA 9010
Cranks - Rotor 3D + Q Rings
Saddle Fizik Kurve Chameleon
Handlebars - Race XXX Lite Aero VR-CF (who knew)
Wheels - Aeolus D5, clincher tyres + Ti skewers
Data etc - Garmin Edge 810

Looks great and would look much better with a slammed stem. Don't use your age as an excuse - my dad's 45 and he has the same saddle to bar drop as me now (see my Viking) ;)

I used to hate Treks but I absolutely love them now.

    Road - Dolan Preffisio
    MTB - On-One Inbred

I have no idea what's going on here.

Well after yesterday, I reckon I can loose another 10mm (its got 20mm in there now so getting there). I'm odd shape. short leg (the cranks are 165s), long body, so will never see a manly saddle to bar drop.

Where is the battery? I though it mounted on the BB? I was thinking about putting EPS on mine, if you've got any photos of the mount i'd appreciate it.

Don't know where the anti-trek thing comes from, but I personally like them, I used to have a trek hardtail and it was a great bike.

Love this one, awesome color scheme.

It's in the seat tube. I think the old Di2 had battery mount underneath. Just make sure whatever you do is charge it up, evidently that's why the front mech failed. School boy error.

Will try and sort better pics of the techy bits.

On the BMC, its 6700. The Madone is on Q Rings, the rest is all DA 9070.

    Better picture of the undercarrage:

And a better picture for the colour (well sort of):

The bike looks good really like it, particularly with the rotor crank and Q rings. It looks a really clean build with the battery hidden in the seat post. Just a few questions though.

    What size frame is that?
How are you finding the performance of the rear brake under the BB, particularly with the rubbish weather? I'd be interested to know if you have any maintenance problems with the rear brake located there.
Do you have to remove the seat post to charge the battery, or can you charge the battery with the seat post installed on the bike?
What size are the chain rings, and what cassette (in terms of gearing) have you got on the bike?

Why do you need to know the frame size? Probably 56cm?
