    yeah, i have that one. it's fine.

    it's only a delaying tactic though, as the bike wouldn't be out of my sight (or at least one of my riding chums), so it's enough to give me time to cover the ground between the two points.

    i use one of those too - i always try to sit outside, but if i nip into the cafe then i use it to attach the bike to a table and rely on the other punters to put off chavs with cutters

    I use something very similar. It wouldn't stop a thief who had a pair of wire cutters but would stop an opportunist thief, or leave him to nick an unlocked bike.

    I try to only lock it up where I can see it.

    yeah I'm aware it's only a deterrent but that's okay.

    I think I'll get the Abus Pro one.
