Hi ,
I have just been browsing wiggle, and DHB bib tights are advertised as being ideal for slim athletic build
Could anyone recommend bib tights (and shorts for that matter), for someone who's 5'6 and 12 and a half stone
Price isn't the major consideration.
Cheers
Geoff

IMO you're better going down the roubaix bib shorts and a pair of roubaix lined legwarmers route as it'll avoid any leg length issues. If you buy a pair of bib tights to match the waist you’ll end up with quite a bit of extra material at the ankle. At 5' 7" and with wee legs it's nigh on impossible to get bib tights, so I turned to the latter option – it’ll also give you a multi season set-up which bib tights can’t do:
Winter – legwarmers and roubaix bib shorts
Chilly Spring/Autumn – roubaix bib shorts0 -
Thanks for the quick reply. Sounds like good advice.

I had the same problem and ended up going with 3/4 bibs from DHB. XL body but short legs.
The 3/4 work really well and come down to "sock" height.0 -

Some decent options coming in here.

I am the very definition if short and chubby, certainly compared to most of the racing snakes.
In my experience the most important measurement on the Wiggle size guide (at least in relation to leggings) is height. Lycra is incredibly stretchy and will accommodate some girth. What it can't do is shrink to allow for short legs like mine. It took a major mind shift for me to order a piece of clothing described as "Medium" (I'm 178cm, but with a 30" inside leg) in any circles, let alone the cycling world, particularly as usually I take an XL, or even XXL jersey. However the DHB Vaeons fit me great. Although initially I found the shoulder straps tighter than I'd have liked, they're now fine and my reservations disappeared as soon as I adopted the cycling position.
Good luck and hopefully you won't need to wear the leggings until at least the end of October. Summer's nearly here, I hope!Pride and joy: Bianchi Sempre
