Bike cover for gears

Hi,
I travel a bit with work and I'm hoping to bring my bike in the boot of the car so I can do some evening spins.
I saw the Scicon Rear Cover on Wiggle and it looks like it might protect my car. It's a cover for the chainset and rear wheels ... http://www.wiggle.co.uk/scicon-rear-bike-cover/
Has anyone used one or can you recommend an alternative?
Thanks!

Both wheels out, stick the back end of the bike in a decent bin bag and shove it on the car. Works fine.0

I lay a sheet on my boot floor then lay a towel down so that half the towel is in the boot and half is draped over the rear bumper, this stops me scuffing the bumper when loading/unloading the bike. Lay the bike so that the rear wheel and drive train is laid on half the towel and then fold the towel back into the car so that it's covering the wheel and drivetrain. I then lay my front wheel on top of the towel so there's no chance of metal on metal scratches.
Imagine a bike sandwich - the towel's the bread, bike's the meat
Not very pretty but I use it on a daily basis and I've kept my car clean and bike scratch free.
EDIT: If I'm loading other stuff in the boot then I use some pipe lagging to protect the frame. Available from most DIY shops for a few quid.“Training is like fighting with a gorilla. You don’t stop when you’re tired. You stop when the gorilla is tired.”0 -
Put the bike gear side up - then theres no need for the chain to touch anything ?0

Have the same one & use it if I'm going a long way. Basically if just getting the bike in the car is simple enough to just take the wheels out, put a blanket down and put the frame & wheels in. If I'm off racing will use the cover as I can then stuff lots of bags in the car without worrying about them rubbing up against the running gear.
For the money its quite good, easy to clean up as has some sort of coating on the inside bit like a gym bag so easy rinse out.Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0
