Hereford

Hi all,
I've just joined this site so any info would be gratefully received.
Due to family living in Aberystwyth I spend most of my time in the welsh trail centres near there, ( Nant yr Arian, Mach, ClimachX).
During the week or when I'm not on leave I'm based in Hereford, I do travel down to FOD and that's ok for a quick burn around, but I really would like to find something else nearer to home.
Does anyone know of any descent forests, mountain ( hill) trails or anywhere else that's worth a ride near Hereford.

    There was a similar thread a while back. I think one of the suggestions was somewhere north of Hereford, possibly Kington?

    Looking at the map, the black mountains aren't far away, and there's a load of bridleways there.

    Never got around to trying any MTB around Hereford while I was there.

    Hello,
    I'm based in Hereford too. There are a few trails just north-west of Knighton. Other places fairly nearby: Mortimer Forest near Ludlow, Malvern Hills, Long Mynd, Black Mountains. There doesn't seem to be much in Herefordshire, but apparently there are some trails in Haugh Wood but I've never tried to look.
