Hi all,
I have just raised the 600 pounds i required for a new bike. Before I commit can anyone tell me which of these bikes offers the bests value for money?

The fork on my old bike was a rockshox tk toro and died after two years of use. So I want a fork that will perform better and for longer. Is the rockshox sector r on the zen better than the Rock Shox Recon TK Air, 100mm, Poploc on the cube? To me they are just words put together to look nice.

None of these forks will last longer than the Tora as they are made to the same standards. But 2 years is unusual, was it ever serviced?

The Zen is a different sort of bike to the LTD - the latter more a racy XC set up, the former for harder riding with its longer fork and slacker angles.

Brilliant. I'm guessing the zen might suit my needs more then. I had a service package with halfords, which I have since regretted. I trusted them to take care of it whenever I took it in. The forks seized up unexpectedly one month outside of the warranty unfortunately so I have to learn from mistakes I guess.

I doubt the service package includes fork servicing. More likely adjusting the gears and lubing the chain.
Bikes need random fettling - not regular servicing.

I was naive I think and thought when I paid for the service package I could relax and everything would of been taken care of.

It was just a standard £19.99 annual service package. Looking back I should of requested a service on the forks.
