Ok, first up, main ride, just been stripped back to bare carbon and repainted. I've kept it true to its original decals with the exception of the head tube, forks and rear of the seat stays which I pinched from the Cento. It's due some speedplays and a step up to 11 speed once i've assembled the bits i need. Some of the purists out there will not like it I'm sure, but it has turned out bladdy great in my opinion and the guy who did it is an absolute master with Carbon.
I'm having an absolute mare with these images so they are here is the coding isn't working

The Lavaredo is my Commute/Wet/Turbo bike and the bike that turned me from MTB to Road full time. I owe it a lot and will keep it until it breaks and even then i will glue it back together and probably be buried with it.

WOW. That orange one is quite possibly the best looking bike I have ever seen.

I have no idea what's going on here.

I was dreading looking at what you did to a beautiful Izoard but I have to say it looks terrific. Absolutely stunning. I like how you have kept the wilier decals. How do you find the Yishun clinchers? I need an alternative to my fulcrum 5s

The Orange one is lovely, not that the other bike has anything wrong with it.
Didn't even know what a Wilier was until I be came a member here and there are some beauts on this forum.

    Great looking bikes.

You're wrapping the URL in image tags when you need the actual URL of the image which ends in .jpg/.png etc:

  • the second one is beautiful, looks wooden with that colour paint, very classy especially with that depth of rim
  • That's the best repaint I've seen. Looks quality.

Who done it? How long did it take? Costs?

Thanks for all the comments folks, thought it may split opinion a little more, but it seems not!

I'll try to answer all the questions in one post
Ref the Yishun Clinchers, pretty good on the road, i had to debur the inner rim edge a bit more before i taped them and fitted the tyres, but they were only 250, so we'll see how they hold up - did a fast 30 today and put some pressure on them and they have been great.

Frame cost varies, from £250 - £300, I don't want to get hammered by the mods for promotion so i will pm you directly -those who would like to know who carried out the work, but i will say the quality is outstanding.
It takes around 10-14 days and you have to courier your frames down to him unless you live locally of course.

Thanks again for all the feedback and to the fella that sorted my images out for me - i feel like a right retard!

    Cheers

Somewhere there's a frame painter who's going to wake up tomorrow with a rather full inbox.

First bike i think to not receive a negative comment, well done sir bloody marvellous that looks. I had the same bike in lampre colours and it looked great. I too was wondering what it was going to look like. Didnt think that good! Well done really nice looking bike. Great to ride too as i had one. That colour is also very similar to the wiliers of old dont know if you know?

Thanks Jeff - i think i remember seeing your Lampre, did you run it with 50mm Campags at some stage?
Part of the reason i had it painted was because i love the frame and the ride is perfect for me, so personalising it a little seemed a natural way to go, whilst still keeping a nod toward it's original look/layout.
Funny you should mention the old colour ways of Wilier, i assume you mean the Ramato? I'm chasing one on ebay at the moment

I may be slightly biased but I love both of them. I may also be PMing you as my 10 model is just starting to look a little battle scarred.
