Basically my old silver Zaskar LE - my first proper MTB, swapped most the parts from the red version as I have an emotional attachment to my first born lol. Will look great once polished up and I find the spring for my second pair of Avid Arch Rivals!
Basic mix of old shimano parts ie M950 rear mech, 8 speed shifters, Kona P2s, Crossmax wheels. Will get bar ends and clip on aeros.

So that's 3 GT frames in one photo!
Looks nice, would look better on knobbly tyres though!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
The fourth Zaskar is out of shot ;-)
Might get knobblies in the summer! But for now is just for the road.0 -
It would be a killer with black Flite and black slicks.
Nice bike, nevertheless0 -
this thread makes me sad..... i couldnt afford to ship my Zaskar over here when i emigrated so had to get rid of it.... i can guarantee i would still be riding it if i had it.....

What an absolute beautyyyy. Id kill for a Zaskar...Definitely my next bike. Then theres you with 4!
Those DX V Brakes are as rare as hell!!!
I remember seeing a picture of your red Zaskar with all the parts on it. Id say the red one looked better but this is still very very nice.
Seems you have a thing for GTs like me? I hereby call you the person with the best taste in bikes ive seen in the Forum 8) Would love to see more of your GTs0 -

Phoar, some serious GTs right there. Thanks for sharing the photos!
I love that Carbon Zaskar, is it the same one as in your sig? Love the colour scheme on there. I want a retro zaskar!!!
Whats gonna happen to the red Zaskar? You cant just let it hang up in the garage haha0 -
Some nicey piccies!
Is the I drive considered as a full suspension bike? I ask, as the rider is part of the unsprung weight.0 -
Some gorgeous machines in various colours there supersonic!
What year is the iDrive? And I'm particularly liking the stealthy carbon zaskar, lovely!
Have always wondered though - is there any particular reason/difference/advantage in running a shock 'upside down' or reversed, as on the iDrive? Have seen this on many bikes but never been sure or understood what the story is with that?2012 GT Fury 2.0

I think it was about 2004/2005. The orientation of the shock makes no difference, is done for space reasons usually.0 -
Id go for the carbon zaskar out of that lot, love the stealth look as you can tell if you look at pics of my sensor.
I do prefer the zaskar le in its previous incarnation as a trail bike though, not a fan of rigid forks and skinny tyres on a mtb but then im weird like that ;-)The family that rides together stays together !

I personally think the Silver Machine looks better at its current state I like the DX brakes and the brake booster. The fork looks really nice too. Rigid all the way! (only saying that cause never had a suspension bike before)
The slicks look really nice on it too with the skin sidewalls.
My favourite looking one has got to be that red Zaskar frame. Id kill for one of those.0 -
You can have it for £150...0

Ive got the Chucker build at the mo.
If i get a job in the summer. Then id be able to afford it.
Let me know if you get rid of it.0 -

Thanks supersonic.. I couldn't figure if there was an advantage or not! So if it's usually for space reasons, what's the space issue on your iDrive for its orientation that way ??!!2012 GT Fury 2.0
