Hi Napoleon and thanks for the report. I've used Adrian twice in the past for bike fits. one at his house and one at his shop (agree very nice) and was very happy both times. I was going to use him again, but would have to book miles in advance unfortunately. I ended up getting a retul fit at bike science with Andy. Very different methods, but still a great result.
Glad it went well the other day and look forward to your update
Cheers Gazif it ain't rainin.....it ain't trainin

nice read
as you mention a good bike fit can overcome apprehension of those who've suffered injury in the past.
Due to extensive (all week) training and racing in yester years I've developed a form of rheumatism which initially set me back a lot. To the point of stopping elite racing. After research on my condition, and accordingly good bike fits, I got to know my body that much more that I learned (loving) cycling in a totally new way. I still see so many people riding, who are fighting themselves instead of pushing themselves.
as you said, I'd like to plea for a decent bikefit for anyone who is ready to drop the wallet on a carbon handlebar and stem in order to improve 'performance and comfort'.0 -

Great read, Napoleon. Went to see Richard today and would echo everything you said. I didn't just leave feeling like I 'belonged' on the bike but also I've a much better understanding of what the adjustments achieve and where I was going wrong.
In a nutshell he shifted my cleats to the inner side of the shoe to give my hips more space; lifted my seat, tilted it downwards (I'd had it raised slightly) and moved it forward; and turned my hoods inwards a touch. Apparently my core was a bit of a passenger with most of the weight being supported by my lower back and arms.
He even sorted a bike maintenance problem out. Would highly recommend and when I get a new bike I'll be heading back.0 -
