I want the front of the bike to stand up a bit more, purely cause it looks better. But i heard its better to have a higher front end for when you land too. But i cant back that up, havent done a single jump yet.0

As a jump bike you DONT want a high front end. Nearly all dirt jump bikes have a 100mm fork for a good reason. You want a high bar but you achieve that with a riser bar. If you fit a longer fork then you will ruin the geometry of the bike and possibly snap the frames head tube.
That Zoom fork will cause you a world of pain, the last thing you want when landing jumps is for a fork to dive through it's travel, you will be straight over the bars and on your face. A dirt jump fork needs to be fairly firm with quite a lot of low speed compression damping, the zoom fork doesn't have any damping at all. A rigid 26" fork will be much better.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
Cool. Im going to taking it easy anyhow since as i said i havent jumped before. I wont be throwing myself 10 ft in the air any time soon, so im not too worried about breaking anything (myself, or the bike).
Thanks for that info Rockmonkey.
Where would be the best place to get rigid forks that would be ideal for jumping? The ones i see on ebay are either £120ish and above professional ones or retro ones...0 -
A little over budget but I'm sure you could find them cheaper if you shop around or look on ebay http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... elID=30254

I was having a look at the fork from CRC earlier today, i need a new hub if i were to buy that.
I really like those bombers but yep, over budget a little.
I think i might look around for that fork from winstanleys on ebay. Im going to be a first timer so theres no point having all the gear and no idea. So the cheaper ones will be better.
Thanks!0
