Been freezing cold lately so not so much fun to ride in. First ride today for ages in decent weather and the wind was terrible, 52 miles later feels like a lot more

Sick of it now! I went out today through the New Forest & the winds were awful!

Not only was it freezing cold it was playing havoc with my front wheel, was out the seat a couple of times when it caught in the crosswind!

It's being like this solid since October, surely were due some decent weather! Nothing amazing, clear, dry & above 12 degrees would be a start!

Managed 32 miles after work, sun was shining on Bristol/Bath, it was good. Bit windy and got colder as it got later but overall an improvement on recent weather.

First time using a breadcrumb course on my Edge 500, need to check a bit more carefully where I am drawing it though, I routed myself through a 'not suitable for motor vehicles' lane that was basically a swamp full of rocks, was on my cross bike so it could have been worse I suppose.

I've been riding since late May 2012 - one day I'm going to find out what riding in nice weather is like ;)

Only bonus is that I got my wet weather kit down to pat in double time

Did 65 miles today and it wasn't so bad. North out of Leeds into a strong north-easterly but I picked the route to stay low as much as possible and hopefully sheltered. Could have been worse. Then the return leg high on the moors often with great tailwinds. Unfortunately, the end of the route was more to the East again so a bit flaked at the end.

Good news is that winds are dropping for the weekend. Bad news is that the cold north-easterlies return on Monday

Wasn't too bad this morning, very doable in shorts when the sun got out, just that wind but after so and so many months of it i have become accustomed to it.

It's a hard life, just finishing my porridge and then applying a drop of sun cream. It's pretty flat around here in Cadiz but then I guess you cant have everything. Enjoy your Sunday ride!

Was really nice this morning, sun out. Went out in winter gear and by the end could have possibly been ok with baselayer, jersey and arm warmers instead of winter jersey and FS baselayer, but still wasnt too bad.

Absolutely a joy this morning to ride in conditions which are not from the arctic. After two freezing rides in France last week it amazes me how a few degrees and sunshine can make a huge difference.

I managed my longest ride today - a 50 miler and got my layers right as was not cold or too warm. Just had a base layer with short sleeve jersey and tights. Perfect.

Anyway hope you all enjoyed your rides as much as I did today.

Got the shorts on yesterday, long sleeve base layer under short sleeve jersey up top, some long sleeve gloves (not winter issue, mostly mesh) and shades, perfect temperature all the way around. One more week of winter b/s apparently then it starts to properly warm up (and flood probably). Come on!
