Is a nice jersey too much to ask?

I'm hoping the weather might start warming up a bit, so i've started to look for a new jersey. The problem is nearly all cycling jerseys look like a huge walking billboard of adverts. Does anyone have any ideas of where to look for nice jerseys? I guess there is rapha, but any other ideas?

Thanks

Do you only post in threads where someone has something you can't afford? You need a life.

To the OP, check out some of the Cervelo or Planet X gear, I've gotten some nice black and white themed stuff from them for good prices.

Why so butthurt man, its a fact that people are buying Chinese copies of expensive brands. Theres a recession going on man, maybe if you pull back the curtains from your ivory tower and look outside you'l see them going past.

  • It has nothing to do with being 'butthurt' as you say. I live a normal life, and I prefer to buy nicer things,it has nothing to do with being rich. You just come across as some teenager who can't save for anything with your allowance, so you just buy the cheapest for everything you can. You'll come around eventually.

As I said, no they don't. What you mean to say, is that the Chinese make lower quality Rapha knock offs, which may resemble Rapha kit from a distance.

Agreed, rapha is only worthwhile if your the type of biker who spends more time at the cafe than actually hammering the tarmac.

In answer to the OP, have a look on http://www.alwaysriding.co.uk they always have nice jerseys. The Craft stuff is good quality and doesn't make you look like a billboard.

I have a couple of things from ground effect. the berglar is a soft shirt with very thin merino lining . It wicks away sweat in spanish summer while protecting your arms and back from the burning sun, but is just as good in british summer weather. Sizes are british/german not italian/chinese, so do not get the xxl unless you are massive. I am 6ft 2in and 15stone and xl is just right.

They have a few more colours in the 2013 collection http://www.capocycling.com/apparel/mens-apparel/modena

I bought the LS jersey from an Italian company, all4cycling.com

I bought it through their eBay outlet and had a best offer of €42 accepted so £45 delivered as it's 2012 stock. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/All4cycling/_i ... =328549764

So not as overpriced as prattforever seems to think...
  • Total Fitness in Bath stock Capo, was tempted but it was £70 for a jersey.
