Whilst coming up the A9 i seen a lot of people with road bikes on the backs of cars and i wondered why? Surely a road is a road wherever you are?

So my question is, why do you want to ride on other roads if they are the same?

Well im a mountain biker so I adventure around the hills...

What sense of adventure do you get from being on a road which you know where it'll take you because of the signs?

If I thought roads were all the same, I wouldn't ride a road bike. Is this a serious question?

To put it another way - does this road
