Convert 15mm thru axle to 9mm QR?

I have a front wheel with a 15mm thru axle gathering dust and spiders in the shed. I would like to know if its possible to fit this into a 9mm QR rockshox fork with some sort of adapter to save me buying a new wheel if i don't need to.
Anyone know if this will work or am i best just buying a new wheel?
