right, i've set my XX1 derailleur up and it changes up the cassette (from small cogs to large cogs) lovely and smooth but only if i go one click at a time on the shifter.

if i'm on the middle of the cassette and want to push on to the biggest cog, so jumping 5 at once (the shifter will do 5 at once), then top jockey wheel of the derailleur fouls the cassette...

what's causing this?

i've adjusted the derailleur correctly and set the correct distances on the jockey wheel when on both the large and small cog as per the hand book.

could the chain be too short?

Possibly, could you post a pic of it in the largest sprocket?

The trouble is that the top jockey clearence is a function of the 2 mech springs fighting each other, so you can let it settle 3 times and get 3 different readings....I'd use the B stop to give a bit more clearance.

For info, small cogs to big is DOWN, not up, shorter gearing, just like in a car.
