Which chain stay protection sticker?

Hello,

Which clear chainstay protection sticker can be recommended?

Important is a crystal clear look, good protection, not to thick and very adhesive around the edges from the chain stay.

Have you tried 3m helicopter tape? Clear, comes on a roll, cut to any shape and much cheaper. Take a look on ebay

Ok, hear a lot of positive reviews about 3 M Helicopter tape. Any questions before ordering.

Looks there are a lot of different types, which type do you prefer .... or send me a link of the tape you bought.

Can anyone tell something about the thickness? I have tried Bikeshield before but I found it to much, with Bikeshield it looks like there is a thick layer on your chain stay.......very ugly

3m is the tack so buy a 3m one and the thicker the better as it protects you bike better.

While we're talking about chainstay protectors, can anybody point me in the direction of plain black neoprene ones? All I've seen have some logo on them.

I use this on my bike. Gives great protection and looks pretty good with a carbon fibre like texture to it. With regards to the logo, the one on mine is black instead of white, so you can't see it 99% of the time.

I saw the title of this thread and thought - ahh this is going to be one of those joke threads where the OP is ranting about how "people are always asking for reviews / recommendations of the most minor parts so that they can be sure to buy everything for the best price online instead of just going to their LBS".

Quite a few ebay sellers sell just clear vinyl 'helicopter tape' that is not actually made by 3M and it is not as durable.

My chainstay protector cost me nothing. I just use bare 953 steel
