On ES 2 from 2pm

Might fill that gap between lunch and the Basque Tour nicely.

They got some wierd priorities at Eurosport.. Refused to show us proper races in the first months but they give us 90km of Cerami? I'll never complain about live coverage but it's still a bit wierd.

Yeah, no HN or DDV but we get this chipper. As you say, beggars can't be choosers.

It's all about what they can get. Most of the Flanders races have gone for big bucks.
    Lucky to get this.
RTBF also showing the race on La Une, which isn't geo restricted:

    "Refuse"?

They don't have the rights which is a big difference.

They had the rights in the previous years for those races.

It's HN and DDV.. It's not the new Premier League tv-deal..

Come on. You get the point I'm making. HN or not. There were also races in January and February they didn't air this year.

    Which ones?

They're showing more than ever this year from what I've seen.

They never show Down Under and both Qatar and Algarve were on?

They usually air Down Under here.. Neither Qatar or Algarve was on here this year - not live at least. But I'm not counting highligts as 'showing' the race.. Remember, I'm not watching Eurosport UK. Don't know if the UK version has expanded their coverage from almost nothing to what it is now.

A spoiler thread with no spoilers?

Jonas van Genechten (Lotto-Belisol) wins the GP Pino Cerami.

    There you go.

Surprised not more chat about this, I know it's a chipper but the last 15km was actually very good racing! Nice to see the smaller guys trying hard for a win!

Didn't finish watching until late, last night.
I thought it an excellent race.
    Animated and tactical.

Good to hear Kirby and especially Big Maggie saying that it's never about how big a race is and who's riding,
but how a race is ridden. My thoughts exactly.

Sky Sports has the TDU rights in the UK and showed it live.
Qatar was scheduled, but cancelled, due to pressure from the ASO.
Algarve had no live coverage from hosts, but they did show the supplied highlights.
Het N, Dwars, Schelde and Brab P all sold off in bulk by the owners.
No live coverage outside of Belgium. Highlights on Sky Sports. (if they feel/felt like it)

Thanks for the link FF. Good to see my local team Bretagne Séché putting on a bit of a show. Would love to see them get a wild card for the TDF although if they didn't get one last year they probably never will.

Quite a decent race this one, the break that formed on the final 'climb' should really have stayed away but with the Bretagne team having so many riders no-one really wanted to work with them. They then tried classic tactics in the last few kms by firing riders up the road and sending another when they got caught but a few other teams were a bit too strong in the end. I quite like the Continental races as they seem to race more than Pro Tour events.
