I've recently got some Fox 36 Float RC2 air forks on my Specialised pitch. Having moved from Marz 55's, the amount of adjustment is baffling. I've got a general understanding of what each thing does, but I dont think Im getting the most out of them. Anyone got a guide or anything similar.

Im a heavy rider (18 stone) so already upped the oil in them. And I found basic set up information following a search on the net to which the forks have been set to since. I've not really changed them since then and after a dozen or so rides I've decided I need to start getting the most out of them.

Can anyone help?

Trial and error I'm afraid. I have a 36 Van RC2 and it takes a while, but you just have to mess around with it. Half the battle is understanding what the high and low speed compression actually does - once you've got your head around that you can start understanding how applying different settings will actually affect the way the fork feels and behaves.

If you can be bothered, riding the same bit of trail repeatedly using different settings each time will give you some idea.

    Read this:

    Good luck with it.
