trex 1200 build

right after up grading my viking's groupset i had all the old parts left of it. so am building this trex frame up for my dad for his birthday and suprise him with it. it will be his first road bike.



this will be the spec
Chainset: Shimano FC-2350 Road Bike Double Chainset 8-speed, 50 / 34T 170mm
Gears: Shimano Sora RD-3400, 16 speed gears with Shimano STI dual control levers and a Shimano 12/25 cassette freewheel.
Wheels: Viking 700 C32 hole black double wall alloy rims with CNC sides, alloy quick release hubs and black spokes.
Tyres: continetal road race 700 C X 23 all black road tyres
saddle: aliante
bars stem and steat post are coming with the frame so will find out what they are when they arrive with the frame.

hope fully every thing will arive for fri so i can start building

Slightly biased but got to say she's looking good! Liking your Ribble Gran Fondo....nice bike! Hope your dad likes it :-)

I'm sure your dad will love it. Those Treks (I think they were hydroformed welds?) were really nice frames, traditional geometry and great frames for circuit races.
