Starting again

Hi new to Bikeradar.Just a quick question,not been out riding now for near on 3 and half years.(due to bad hand injury)Im abit nervous getting back in the saddle 3yrs is a long time,any advice?Do i jump straight back in,take it easy any advice welcome.I should say i was a keen cyclist out 4/5 times a week,but nothing hectic at all for 3+years.Cheers for any help in advance

    I would say treat it as if it was 3 and a half years without being behind the wheel of a car. Take your time, get used to being on a bike out in traffic etc. Also, being away from it for so long, your muscles will not be used to being pushed as hard as your brain may think they can, sure fire way to cause another injury. Just get out and enjoy yourself again.

    What Steve said. Build up your distance gradually, ride lots, & keep your fingers crossed for some fine weather.

    lol keep my fingers crossed,had a hand injury.Just made me giggle :mrgreen:
