Alternative to Sapim spokes

Managed to snap a spoke a while back on the communter bike. Rather unbelievably, this is the first spoke I've ever managed to snap.
I've been using a spare wheel for the time being, but I've now got round to getting down the LBS to pick up a spare.
The spoke has gone on the front wheel of my superstar build.
The superstar wheels use Sapim Double butted spokes, and the front come in 260/262 flavour
Rung the LBS this morning and they only do DT and apparently don't have any double butted ones (which I find rather odd, and will be questioning further when I get down there). Is there an alternative DT spoke I can opt for? Or should I try somewhere else?
I know I can ask them when I get down there, but they can be a bit hit/miss with the advice they give at times. So I want to be prepared with at least a bit of information before I rock up.

dt and sapim are pretty much equal in quality, however I personally wouldn't use a bike shop than didn't stock double butted spokes. We only keep double butted in and would usually have your length spokes available.0

See, I found it very strange when he said they don't carry double-butted. I'm hoping he just didn't fully understand and was mistaken, it was shop floor staff I spoke to on the phone, not workshop.0

The chain went off the top of my cassette and knackered 8 of the drive side spokes on my Superstar wheels in a big off which also buckled both wheels so I sent them back to Superstar via Parcel Force for £12ish and they replaced all the damaged spokes, trued them both and returned them for free in a week. Might be worth doing that depending on how much you'll get charged locally0

Cheers, but I'll buy a spoke for £1 and fix it myself tonight.0

DT Competition is the 'default' choice for a 2.0/1.8mm DB spoke.0

My favourite spokes are ACI 2.0/1.7/2.00

As suspected the shop boy was talking guff. Got there and went straight up to the workshop who handed me 4 DT Comp spokes in the required lengths. When I mentioned that I'd been told they don't do double butted, he just rolled his eyes and said "ffs! Right, well he's just lost his telephone privileges then"
£2 in total and I've now got functioning wheels AND some spares.0 -
