crank brothers cobalt wheels

I've just bought a 2013 lapierre zesty 514, which I'm loving.
However I want to upgrade the wheels to tubless as the standard ones are mavic crossrides which are not tubless.
Was going to convert them by using stans, which was going to cost about £50.
But then I saw these for sale, not only do they look the business, but they are lighter and tubless.
Has anyone on here have any experience with these wheels?
I have heard the early one's had hub problems, but they come with a 2 year guarantee, and you seem to beggetting a lot of wheel for the money.

Not the strongest wheel. I would rather have the Crossrides.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Yes they will fit, 15mm front axle and 142mm rear with 12mm axle.0

I've never had them, know two people who have and they both got rid of them.0

How will that save you money? You'll still need valves and sealant.
Personally buy a roll of the yellow tape, a big bottle of sealant and a pair of valves and you'll be laughing as you are.0 -
Appricate the comments, but I think I will take a punt with these wheels.
Used a voucher and got them for £218.
That's a £700 wheel set for very little money.
Also the store does a no quibble refund.
So I will get them, see what they're like and if no good will send back.0 -
There may be a reason Cobalts are often heavily discounted from the RRP......anyone can state an RRP, doesn't mean it's worth that (DFS, SCS and Halfords jumping to mind).Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

A set from Superstar would have been a better option?0

Yellow tape works better than electrical tape. I find the electrical stuff stretches over time and can cause issues.0

Never had to replace any yet. Two goes around the rim, plug the valve through, mount tyre, throw sealant in.
I have yellow tape on one set and electrical tape on two sets and you wouldn't know the difference, except for the cost of the tape!Trail fun - Transition Bandit
