Marin Palisades, which front mech and chain?

Hi,
I'm in the process of renovating older style Marin Palisades (9 Speed). I need a new front mech and chain for it. The down tube is 32mm. I don't know the year of the bike, but has a front shock and disc. What front derailleur and chain would you recommend?
