I am going to receive my Chinese carbon frame this week.
The model is HongFu FM039 ISP.
But it is semi-raw finish, which means no painting on it.
This is the frame i am going to receive.
Does anyone know how to paint on a carbon frame?eg. what kind of paint material I should use?
Appreciate if anyone can help.
Thanks

I rubbed mine down to key the surface with 320 grit wet n dry and then used a plastic primer, before painting as you would a car. I have an airbrush and compressor - although im sure you could use rattle cans if need be. Just be careful in the corners and dont go mad with the paint and get runs.0

As above in terms of prep although i went with a slightly higher grit than 320, you just want to get the sheen off the surface of the clear coat on the frame so the primer has a key.
I have done my my planet x a couple of times with rattle cans. Are you doing one colour for the whole bike or looking at adding some details or going 2 tone ?
If you want to add details get some pin striping tape it really helps to mask out intricate areas and curves.
Don't forget the panel wipes.0 -
Definitely leave that frame in "stealth mode" as it currently is!!!0
