Here are the options in current order of preference:
Giro Factor - £135
Bont A3 - £125
Specialized BG Pro 2012 - £130
Shimano R170 - £130
I have been able to try the specialized and shimano on in my size to verify that they fit... I tried some Bont Vaypors in 45 and an reasonably confident 46 is the correct size for me.
I haven't tried the Factors at all.
The reasons I'm leaning towards the Factors -> hefty discount on a top end shoe, great reviews, look pretty nice in white.
But I have a few reservations -> the Bonts would probably be better for racing due to their toe and heel bumpers for scuff protection? And the Bonts would probably be the best fit due to the heat moulding?
Thoughts? Anyone know how the fit of the Factors compares to Shimano, Specialized, and Bont? (I should be a size 46).

I have the factors (in click your heels and get you home colours) and they are fantastic.
I had to go up 2 sizes from normal shoes (44 instead of 42) and I would say they have quite a roomy toe box.
Of course buying without trying is never recommended, but the shoes are brill.Yellow is the new Black.0 -
I normally wear Specialized and find them the most comfortable shoes when I have tried on lots of different brands. I tried on some factors and also the giro trans when I last bought shoes and they both fit me well. I nearly bought a pair. I would therefore say that for me they are quite similar in fit to specialized. They do look good too! I have never ridden in them though.0

Bonts - I find it hard to find shoes to fit my weird feet, so being able to play with the heat moulding at home has been brilliant; I still think they look a bit strange but they are light, comfy and stiff. Shop around, you can get A3s for well under £120. Sizing: I have 44s, Shimano 44s also more or less fit0
