aching joints

my joints sometimes hurt after a long ride on my shoulders and elbows, guess this is shock from the road.

    Not sure how long you have being riding but are you holding the bars to tight, or holding yourself in a rigid position on the bike?
    Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.
