Dear all looking for help I have been looking at getting back into biking trials and routes Derbyshire, Lakes and North Yorkshire etc not a lot of road if it can be helped I have a 1000 to spend through rude to work and am also doing the same for the other half I have looked at the Scott Aspect 610 ( for both me and wife) and also the Scott scale 50. I am a large frame and the wife is a medium frame. Did look at the Specialized Rockhopper pro and comp but the Scott seemed to have better specs any advise would be appreciated. :D

At that price point there are lots of good bikes out there - might want to look up some of the '£1,000 bike reviews' online to get a short list of whats out there & take it from there.

You should get yourself a good list & you can work it through from there.
Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.

What cycle to work scheme? Are you tied to any particular retailers?

I don't think I am tied in looking at Evans and seen the Scott Scale 50 for 999 have put a returnable deposit down as still waiting for voucher to arrive and it was the last one they had in stock the company s using cycle scheme.

No scale 50 currently on their webby, presume it's this one http://www.evanscycles.com/products/sco ... 2#features appears to be old stock, quite nicely specced for the price, certainly not bad!

Are you aware that C2W means it's not your bike and you just lease it, with extra to pay after the first year?

Thanks for the quick response I am aware of the buy back hoping the tax savings will out way the final one off payment. Believe title reverts back after final payment or start again with new bike. Did look at Specialized Rockhopper series but there specs seem to be down. This is what I have got comparison wise so far http://mountain-bikes.findthebest.com/c ... per-Pro-29
