Cube or Genesis

Hi
I have got the chance to buy a bike for my daily commute of about 10 miles on a cycle to work scheme, with maximum cost of £1500. I have visited my local bike shop and decided to go for a hub gear for ease of maintenance. The two bikes I have narrowed it down to are the Cube Hyde Race or the Genesis Day One Alfine 8. I was wondering if anybody has any experience of these bikes and can point me in the right direction. The one thing I have read is the genesis is very heavy .
Thanks

You sure it's a £1500 limit.
Unless your employer has a credit license, it's £1000.
Some shops will find a way round this to let you "top up" the £1k limit, probably the smaller LBS, rather than the likes of Evans etc0 -
Thanks for the reply. I have just checked the limit for the scheme and it is £1500.0
