Had the previous generation and liked it after getting everything sorted for me. They were quite short, steep and upright as standard, but they've become a bit more 'modern' with the latest incarnation (longer, slacker, etc). Mine was a large so I could get some length in the top-tube, but sacrificed standover (and had a 160mm fork to slacken it a little), on the new one I'd probably go a medium instead. Suspension wise I likes me a single-pivot and the Heckler does a pretty good job of using the characteristics of a simple single-pivot to it's advantage. The only reason I sold mine was due to lack of time and space for it.0

The Superlight would suit you better, as that is what it is designed for. It is also a fair bit lighter than the Heckler.0

Yep, definitely what SS said. Heckler only really works with 150mm+. Also not much of what I said about the updates to the Heckler geometry really stands for the Superlight. Iirc, they slackened it a tiny bit, but the biggest change was to the tapered headtube, which is still a bonus as it get the front a bit lower if you're running a longer (120mm) fork.0

Buy a Fox shock for it. Still be cheaper!0

Indeed, the bits that come off that as new would sell for about £250-300 which would pay for the Fox!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Would a Decathlon frame be as stiff and nice to ride as a Santa Cruz?Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
