Hi,
bit of a noob question here. I've just bought a second hand mountain bike and need to get a longer seat post. The old one is either a 26.0, 26.6 or 26.8mm post, its not clear.
The bike is a ridgeback 603, specs can be seen here

Please could someone advise me which is the most likely of the three above. I don't have calipers to be able to measure it.
Many thanks
John

Most steel framed seat posts are 27.2, your frame look as though it's high tensile steel. I'd check with freinds to see if any of thiers fit.Planet X Kaffenback 2
Giant Trance X2
Genesis High Latitude 2x10
Planet X n2a
Genesis Core 200 -
Notice the 603 is Tange cromo not high tensile steel, this is much better quality, but still probably 27.2.Planet X Kaffenback 2

From cov? I'm in Leam' and have a 27.2mm you could use to check the size.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
