Double or Triple Chainset?

Hi, going to upgrade my triple chainset, but not sure on a triple again or a double, what is best? i will be sticking to 9 speed and mainly ride trails.

I do stay in the middle a lot, but do sometimes use the other two, this is what has got me undecided0

Just think to yourself how often you use the big ring and if it would be missed. If you never have issues with clearance and aren't bothered about the extra weight just stick with a triple.0

A double needn't be 22/36! I ran doubles for years before they were fashionable, 32/44, 30/42, 28/40 and 28/42.
I'd not go back to a triple, YMMV.0
