Lake Garda Bike Hire

I am off to lake Garda for the last two weeks in May for a family holiday and to hopefully catch a couple legs of the Giro. While there I would love to get out on the bike so was wondering if anyone out there knows any places for bike hire near the Gardone/Salo area?

    I can't say what's available in Gardone/Salo but in Riva del Garda there's loads of places hiring bikes. There's a bigger choice of mountain bikes but there was one shop in Riva that had road bikes though we walked down to Torbole and we managed to get a nice CAAD8 for Mrs Schweiz from here http://www.carpentari.com/en/welcome/ http://goo.gl/maps/NmuL1.

    Just South of Salo on the main road (ss572).

    Not hired from them (but they do hire) but have used them and it is a pretty decent place.

    Thank you both for the information, Riva is probably a little too far away but may head up that way as a last resort.

    I think a few of the lake-side towns have bike shops and you should be able to get a road bike hire from a number of these - can think of these to start with :
    Malcesine.
    Lazise - Los Locos - Michael Rasmusen's shop.
    Torbole
