A Personal Challenge

Hi all, as much as I love riding, sometimes all my miles seem a little aimless.

I am not a racer or a sportive rider - more of a lone wolf.

I bought a new car last week, and I have decided that to give me a focus / target, I will challenge myself to match mile-for-mile the mileage I put on the car with bike-miles.

Shouldnt be too difficult as generally speaking I tend to drive only 100 miles a week.

I only live 2.5 miles from work, but for various reasons, commuting is impossible.

At least it will give me a numerical focus.

It's very hilly where I live, so that's an added challenge.

So far, the car mileage is winning (just), but I've been laid up with a chest infection!

Sounds like a good idea. Shame commuting is out of the question. I would love to cycle to work from time to time but its too impractical. Hopefully the weather will make it better for the mile matching target, Good luck mate.
