105 fd and compact

I have just purchased a compact chainset and my front derailler braze-on will not adjust down far enough so the cage is only 2mm from teeth, my gap is more like 8mm. Someone mentioned a sram force fd as this has more adjustment.
Does anyone else have any idea.

    depending on your frame its not un-known to file off a little of the "tab" ....I do say a little tho :oops:
