I need a new mountain bike jacket for XC trails but I just busted all my money on the new bike so it can't be more than £30.00!
I am a 28" chest, any ideas would be much appreciated!

I'd opt for 97th's options there. Also depends on what you want the jacket to do. A fully waterproof jacket at that price point will be very sweaty. Hardshells aren't as waterproof as plastic sheets and don't pack down as small. Softshells can be good allrounders but don't believe any claims about any softshell being fully waterproof. They will cope with showers and spray, and will keep you warm in the cold.

I bought a "MoreMile" waterproof jacket as a cheapie a year or so ago. Cannot fault it in any way. it was waterproof, windproof, and breathable and cost me about £35...... although their website says £41 now.
