Grand prix or gator skin

My bike came with gator skin 25mm tyres when i got it
They've been perfectly fine but need changing now
Bike shop didn't have them but talked me into Grand Prix 23mm.
Feel like i've spent alot of money :shock:
Are they any good compared? I don't race, just do sportives & fun rides

You dont need them if your just riding for fun but they are good none the less.the deeper the section the deeper the pleasure.0
