Wondering if any locals could help me out here. I'm up in Calderdale this weekend and wondering what with all the snow if higher routes like:
Heptonstall / Widdop
Cragg Vale / Hollingworth lake
Denshaw / Buckstones
Holme Moss
are currently ride-able?
Thanks 8)

Aye. I knew it was bad but was wondering which roads if any were now open...0

Holme moss still closed but kirklees council hope to work with Derbyshire council to get it open soon.

Blackstone Edge from Hollingworth Lake:

[edit] Disregard the above link, some jokers have put a webcam of table mountain and claimed it is Blackstone Edge although with the fog today, it could be anywhere!0 -

So my dad, who has been out driving the mountain rescue land rover round those parts for the last few weeks, says that all major roads are passable but width may be reduced above 250m.
My mate who lives by Hollingworth Lake says the roads are clear (but still full of potholes!)
3°C at 160 m at the moment so pack your thermals!0 -

It looks really epic up here: car-width channels cut through eight-foot snow drifts.
Gonna get out once the black ice has thawed, live out some alpine fantasies and take it EASY on the downhills.0
