My friend has tektro hydraulic brakes on his MTB,180mm rotors i think ,he has been offered a set of mavic crossmax slr with centre-lock rotors ,,Are the shimano CLs compatible with his brakes...?Which has IS adapters?
I know nothing about shimano centre-lock brake rotors ,,,do they fit on any MTB wheelset and the 6 bolt system holes became redundent!
Any help or explaination would be welcome

it is just a different standard of fitting. Adaptors can be got to fit 6 bolt rotors. Most of the rotors work fine, but the spiders of some models of CL rotor can catch the calipers of certain disc calipers. Np idea in this case if they do, but is rare with 180mm rotors anyway.0
