Scottish Bike Show Sportive 2013 Cancelled!

All in all rather enjoyed it last year since it was quite honestly the only dry weekend we had.

whats actually cancelled the bike show or the sportive? I was looking forward to riding the sportive as my 1st. Guess i will have to look further a field if it is cancelled.

Can you do us a favour and reword the thread topic in case it causes further confusion.

The SBS is run by my mate's mate. Not totally clear why the sportive has been cancelled but the show itself is very much on and it’s going to be bigger than the last one – and it’s at the Sir Chris Velo too! I’ll be running about with a big fuzzy boom mic all weekend...and go and blag a tee shirt off Derek Wheelsmith (I'm wearing mine as I type :-))

This is a strange one, I received my refund for the sportive but no explanation as to why it's cancelled. Looking forward to the bike show, 1st visit to the new velodrome. (I'm assuming its only the sportive that's cancelled?)

Shame, I was gonna sign up and use as a warm up for the Etape cal. Maybe a lack of take up due to the crap weather?

I only saw my refund - I phoned them up and the guy phoned me back, he wouldn't say why but they were all very disappointed. I checked my junk folder and it was in there.
