Shimano fc m960 crank spindle material ?

Hi. I'm currently refinishing my fc m 960 and. I have been asked by the finisher what the actual
Crank spindle and splined insert on the crank arms are made from he wants to know if it is steel
Or titanium I cannot find out this on a web search. Any help would be gratefully accepted

    just check if it is magnetic as titanium isn't
    GIANT PROPEL SL1 for racing and posing
    TREK 2.5 training and commuting
    GIANT REVEL 1 LTD for when it gets all snowy

    Wouldn't of thought thats its titanium. Aluminium wont be magnetic either.
