Thanks for that I hadn't seen the tt thread. I bought the new stem junction box with the new internal battery expecting that I would have to upgrade the firmware. When I fitted the battery it worked with the old junction box so I didn't fit The new one. I need to fit it to fit the charger so ill get round to it and see how he connection to my laptop works.
I'm so glad to get rid of the external battery.0 -

Have a look again at the Record and Super Record manual derailers, Pete. I personally think they look great. And, no matter how well they work, those Ultegra Di2 derailers are ugly. Compare them with the latest Dura Ace ones and they look like they could change the gears on my Kubota tractor.

First time out on my summer bike today with di2. Just spot on. I don't care how ugly people think it is. It just works gorgeously. I'm sure later incarnations of it will be slimmer and will weigh less but for now it the dogs dangly bits0

Perhaps I could add that my bike has manual Ultegra, and I'd be more than happy with the Di2 version. It might not be the prettiest groupset, but it is definitely very functional.
I just wish they did a triple variant. ;-)0 -

That last one with chorus groupset is a bargain. If only Focus bikes were not instore collection only.0 -
Just spotted that Edinburgh cycles have stores located in Aberdeen, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield. Really like that Focus with chorus and Sheffield is only a quick trip up the M1 for me !0
