Looking your help on some new rubber, need a good all rounder as 50% of my riding would be road and commuting and out with the kid etc and stil want a resonable grip when on gravel and trails.

What do you have on now? What don't you like about them? What is your budget?
Maybe something like this offers some compromise between on and off road performance, but to be honest they won't be brilliant on road and wouldn't be great off road in the current conditions either.0 -
Take a look on ebay, lots of people sell their stock tyres when they buy a new bike. There's a pair of nobby nics for 30 quid delivered for example.0

Currently have Innova 26 x 2.1 tyres the standard tyres that came on it but i just want to upgrade to something better as these wudn be the best on the market.. As for buget i would stretch to 80 if i knew i was getting a good tyre.
Maxxis Advantage ?
Continental X King ?0 -
Neither of those would be any use on road, which is why I linked to the Small Block 8s.0

ok so its between Nobby Nics, Kenda 8 blocks and Panaracer Fire XC0

Not sure about the Nobby Nics for hybrid riding but yea you want something with a fairy shallow tread and maybe some grip on the outside like the Maxxis Crossmark 2.1". The centre tread is much shallower than it looks in the pic on CRC.0
