Removed my complete damper assy from fork, but no idea how to remove this sub assy from it.

Any ideas?

So you un do the thing from the wotsit using a tripple thrunge remover.

Make model year of your fork? And as I can not be asrsed to copy and paste some number into a new page where I have to type stuff. A link t what you grave bought?

OK OK my message was open to misinterpretation.

How to remove that part from the rebound cartridge shaft, not the fork. It's off the fork, together with the cartridge, but no obvious means of separating the two.

That little thingummy sells for nigh on £40 quid so I'm not giving it away with the damper!

Breaking the fork. Van 36.

A ground down six point socket, actually

But as previous apologies for the confusion, removing from stanchions was the easy bit.

Assume this is off a Fox of some sort, have you checked with them?

  • Go here: http://service.foxracingshox.com/consumers/index.htm

Then choose 'Service', 'Forks' then obviously 36 Van.

It should tell you how to take everything apart, however if you don't find what you need, have a search in the cartridge service section.

Thanks and sorry for the delay, in the end I just ebayed the complete cartridge. Could not determine how to remove the cap, perhaps it's buried in the Fox site but I could not find it, to service the damper it does not seem necessary to remove.
