Bike found in my area. Owner needed(herts)

Talking to my local police about an incident and got onto bikes. He told me of a mountain bike they'd retrieved and can't fin the owner. It's a white and green cube 26" hard tail. Not sure of model or year. Looked fairly new maybe a aim. His is in the Watford area however think was nicked outside area. Anyone heard of one gone missing ?
