hi,

im just off down the shops to look at a Legend ht4.7 and wondering if anyone here has one and what their experiences are of the whole fitting/buying process.

Did the bike exceed expectations and would you recommend pulling the trigger on one?

thanks in advance

Hi - the Legends are lovely in the flesh, haven't tried one though. I met Mario Bertoletti last year at an Italian day at a dealers in London, haven't pulled the trigger yet, but hope to soon. They'll invite you to the factory in Italy and you can test models there, order and wait. Everything is custom so it seems ...

    hi giant man,

thanks for getting back to me. the 5.7 is very nice but at £2500 for the frame is unfortunatley out of my league. the 4.7 is cheaper but for me just not as nice and for the money i would need to love it so think i will give them a miss.
  • So you won't be looking at the £11,500 one in my LBS then?

The best thing surely is to get a test ride, only then will you know if it's the bike for you, these are premium frames. Get a ride on that 4.7 if you can ...

Despite my resistance to certain postings on this Forum, if I ever ditch the Cervelo (unlikely) it will highly likely be one of these bad boys...

the 5.7 and models above that are very nice and would get one in a flash especially the ti ones but the 4.7 is quite a disappointment in my eyes compared to the others.

i did not want a test ride as i knew it was not for me and everyone knows a bike you do not like the look of is always slower

It never helps seeing the frame on its own and not built up but it did not do it for me and the problem is i cant stretch to the 5.7 otherwise i would get one. so my search continues and i keep coming back to the lynskey

Wtf? How is that any logic at all? I don't understand that statement at all. If it were me, and you know somewhere where there is a 4.7 and you can take it for a test ride, I would jump at the chance. You don't have to buy it, do you. You might be surprised and you might fall in love with it. But if you don't try it, you'll never know. Like I mentioned before, these are custom made for feel and fit, and alright, it may not fit you exactly, but you'll get a damn good idea.
