Just wondering if anyone has had experience with Assos customer
Care. I have F1 winter tights that have bobbled after 3 cycles and I have
Returned them. They say on their site that bobbling is not covered. Has anyone sent tights back with similar problem and what happened?

Bobbled on rear of pad. Saddle is perfect and no problem with any other make of tights I wear.

Well it's definately the saddle that is causing it, I had a similar issue with my spesh romin saddle, there was some slight piling in a small area after a few rides. There was a bit of roughness on the saddle that my leg was rubbing against. Went back to my slightly older spesh alias saddle and no more issues. I have plenty of saddles lying around, so it was no big deal for me.

The only 'bobbling' i've had on Assos shorts was between the legs as the velcro strap on my saddle bag was touching the fabric just slightly.

If you're convinced it's not the fault of any bike part then you should be in touch with the retailer you bought them from rather than Assos. Your 'contract' of sale is with the retailer. If they're local maybe take your bike in to show them the saddle.

Yea I bought them from Assos direct so I've sent them back there. Used them for only 200km so I'm hopeful they'll do something about it. I've looked at saddle and can't see any problems and haven't had any problems with other tights and shorts on same saddle. Thx for replies

Velcro is the devil's own destroyer of fine bike clothing - I avoid the stuff
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

The stitching on saddles will likely make them bobble. The stitching on a selle SMP saddle did it on two pairs of bib tights. I happened to change saddle a couple of weeks later and didn't get any worse.
