Puncture - Good news!

Out for a nice spring ride today, 16'C, mostly sunny, then hit a small sharp stone - I hear it ping off into the distance.
Then hear a pssshhh, pssshhh noise from the rear tyre every revolution, it's game over, and I'm reaching for my phone to summon my support team (wife).
But wait! The pssshhing has stopped! There seems to be air in the rear - I have control!
I'm 10km from home so increase power to get there asap, but on arrival, have a good 60psi in the tyre and can see a nasty nick in the centre.
These are Vittoria tubulars, and I punctured this same tyre in January. I repaired it at home with Decathlon puncture sealant (3 Euros), and it reinflated fine, and has been good ever since.
So not only has the sealant saved the tyre once, it has also given me on-road puncture proofing! Result!
The tyre is quite worn now, so I'll wring a few more kms out of it then change it.

Not only do you have great weather, but you also manage to avoid the inevitable!
Sounds good though, I'm yet to use my Vittoria pit stop sealant on my tubulars. Got my first puncture on tubs while using challange crit tyres. I wouldn't rate them highly TBH, although I was given them for free so I can't complain.
I got my first puncture on them a few days ago, only a couple miles from home. I checked the tyre and there was 50mm slit! Wasn't sure whether the sealant would be able to fix it, so I binned it once I got home.0 -

Let me know if you get up to Concarneau, I know some excellent rides in that area. Heading out that way for tomorrows club ride in fact. Forecast 14 and sunny!0
